Recently, a Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal train fully loaded with porcelain, auto parts and other goods departed from the CRRC Logistics Customs Supervision Site in Zhuzhou. These goods will be shipped to Africa after being transferred at Nansha Port in Guangzhou. This marks the 1000th trip of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal train since its launch in 2021.

The Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal train began operations in September 2021. Departing from Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, the train travels along the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway to reach ports such as Nansha, Yantian, and Shekou in Guangdong province. Then, the goods will be transferred to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa by ocean-going vessels. This service is a flagship project for Hunan's efforts to establish a pioneering zone for in-depth China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

To ensure the efficient operation of this international logistics corridor, Changsha Customs and Guangzhou Customs have strengthened cross-customs cooperation and closely coordinated with railway departments. They have established specialized coordination and exception handling mechanisms. For challenges such as the varying specifications of large machinery parts and the need for careful securing during loading, customized loading and transport plans have been developed to ensure the safety of goods during transportation and facilitate smooth customs clearance.
