GACC Announcement No. 47 of 2026 (on Supplementary Phytosanitary Requirements for the Import of Fresh Citrus Fruits from South Africa)

In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, and the provisions of the Protocol between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) and the Department of Agriculture of the Republic of South Africa on Supplementary Phytosanitary Requirements for Citrus Fruits Exported from South Africa to China, the cold treatment requirements for fresh citrus fruits (excluding lemons) exported from South Africa to China are hereby adjusted with immediate effect. 

1. The cold treatment shall meet either of the following conditions:

    (1) Fruit pulp temperature at –0.2°C or below for a continuous period of no less than 16 days; or

    (2) Fruit pulp temperature at 1.0°C or below for a continuous period of no less than 19 days.

2. Other requirements for fresh citrus fruits exported from South Africa to China shall be implemented in accordance with GACC Announcement No. 66 of 2021.
