On the morning of September 8, Sun Meijun, Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), and South African Minister of Agriculture Willem Aucamp co-chaired the Ninth China-South Africa Ministerial Meeting on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Cooperation at the GACC headquarters.Through in-depth exchanges of views on implementing the important common understandings reached by the heads of state of the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa, strengthening customs inspection and quarantine cooperation, promoting the sound development of agricultural and food trade between the two countries, and building a partnership on smart customs cooperation, the two sides reached a series of common understandings and signed cooperation documents. GACC Vice Minister Zhang Baofeng, Chinese Ambassador to South Africa Wu Peng, and South African Ambassador to China Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba attended the meeting.
