AddOn June 10, the opening ceremony of the 2026 China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) in Africa (Morocco) was held in Casablanca. At the ceremony, the China-Africa SPS Cooperation Information Website was upgraded into a "Version 2.0," hosted by the Department of International Cooperation of the General Administration of Customs (GACC) and undertaken by the Changsha Customs. This upgraded platform features four major databases covering access information, policies and regulations, trade data, and technical trade measures, being accessible on multiple devices including mobile phones and tablets.
In line with China's full implementation of zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries that have diplomatic relations with China, the website has launched a dedicated bilingual "Zero-Tariff" section. This section systematically presents the policy background, provides in-depth interpretations of core provisions, visualizes trade trends, and compiles feedback from all parties to showcase the tangible results of the policy.
First launched in June 2023, the China-Africa SPS Cooperation Information Website focuses on core customs inspection and quarantine fields. It serves as a one-stop public service platform for information sharing, regulatory harmonization, and joint risk prevention, continuously empowering practical economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa.
To date, the website has incorporated over 32,000 records of market access information for African agricultural and food products exported to China. It offers bilingual one-stop inquiry services, allowing users to conduct precise searches based on country, product category, product name, and manufacturer. The platform also aggregates 218,400 pieces of China-Africa economic and trade information in real time, including 131,700 bilateral trade data records. Interactive trade maps and trend charts are generated dynamically to reflect the scale, structure, and development potential of China-Africa trade. The platform has cumulatively also updated 47,500 notifications related to sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures and technical barriers to trade(TBT) in China-Africa trade, and has collected over 950 entries on relevant laws, regulations, and policy updates, These resources cover key areas such as tariffs, market access, and product quality, forming a full-chain service system that integrates regulatory search, policy interpretation, and operational guidance.
