Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with Alhaji Mohamed Sarjoh Bah, the newly appointed African Union Ambassador to China. Wang praised the AU's efforts in promoting African unity and said strengthening solidarity with Africa remains a priority of China's foreign policy.

Wang pledged to advance the outcomes of last year's Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in Beijing, aiming to build a China-Africa community with a shared future. Bah said the African Union identifies with and supports President Xi Jinping's vision of a community with a shared future for humanity and his major global governance initiatives. He reaffirmed the AU's commitment to delivering more tangible benefits through closer partnership with China.
