Hunan’s foreign trade totals 414.08 billion yuan in first three quarters

Driven by robust import growth, Hunan’s foreign trade has shown a stable and positive trend since the beginning of this year. According to statistics from Changsha Customs, the total value of Hunan’s imports and exports reached 414.08 billion yuan during the first three quarters.

Hunan ranks first among central and western regions in terms of trade with Africa, and BRICS countries have emerged as a key growth driver. In the first three quarters, Hunan’s trade with Africa amounted to 37.33 billion yuan, ranking 8th nationwide and first in central and western China. Exports to Africa totaled 19.59 billion yuan, while imports from Africa surged by 76.8% to 17.75 billion yuan. Trade with other BRICS countries reached 73.69 billion yuan, marking an increase of 0.5%. Specifically, Hunan’s trade with Brazil, Russia, and South Africa amounted to 19.82 billion yuan, 16.15 billion yuan, and 11.75 billion yuan, representing growth rates of 7.8%, 17%, and 16%, respectively.
